The house is located near the center of Payson, and has a Basha's, a Safeway, and a WalMart nearby. If you'd rather go out to eat, there are many restaurants within a few miles and all are along the main roads and easy to find. Check the Quilter's Nest orange binder to see menus. If looking for antiques sounds like a nice break, take a drive down main street. You could also take in a walk around Green Valley Park or learn about local legend, author Zane Grey at the historical site which bears his name, also on main street.
If you want to take some pictures like ours, head a little north of town 87/260 to the East Verde River at the turn off for East Verde Estates. An immediate right will lead you to a parking lot from which you can walk down to the river's edge, Stay on the road and continue over the bridge and find the picnic area on the left with bathrooms and a gentle path to the river.
